​A helping hand.

The Port Isabel, Texas and Trujillo, Honduras, Rotary Clubs received a $136,311.00 Global Grant from the Rotary Foundation to build a community water system for the 1128 households living in  the 8 villages surrounding Agua Amarilla in Trujillo, Honduras.  The communities are providing all of the labor.  The project entails repairs and expansion to the dam, repairs to the sediment filter and distribution box, replacement of most of the 12 kms of pipeline between the dam and the existing 90,000 gallon tank, repairs to the 45,000 gallon reserve tank, and the addition of a chlorinator.
